Grayson Cooke, having earned his Ph.D from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, now teaches in Southern Cross University, Australia. He has exhibited works in Japan Media Arts Festival (2013), Athens International Video Art Festival (2013), Videoformes in France (2014), etc. "AgX" is an art-science project about material memories and forgetting. AgX is the light-sensitive compounds that constitute the celluloid image, to help capture and represent light and shadow to preserve memories represent light and shadow to preserve memories. Grayson Cooke conducted an experiment in which photographic negatives being chemically destroyed. Thus, you could see how memories and images are corroded and twisted in nitric acid (HNO3).
